Lively on the open road, safe on bends, Mégane Hatch has exceptionally good handling to offer a new kind of driving pleasure. Braking is crisp and precise, and the power-assisted steering adapts to suit the speed of the car. ABS, combined with electronic brake distribution (EBD) and Emergency Brake Assist, makes full use of the power and efficiency of the four disc brakes. If a sudden loss of grip occurs, ESP corrects the path of the vehicle so that complete control is maintained.

Mégane Hatch was awarded the maximum 5-star rating by the independent consortium Euro NCAP.

A full 95% of the weight of Mégane Hatch can be recycled. Mégane is the first Renault programme to take into account the requirements of Life-cycle Environmental Management.

Mégane Hatch is assembled at the Dieppe and Douai sites in France, and at Palencia (Spain), Cordoba (Argentina), Curitiba (Brazil), Envigado (Colombia) and Bursa (Turkey).

With its clean-cut lines, precision panel fit and accentuated body curves, Mégane Sport Saloon has a refined, impressive appearance. Its harmonious proportions and generous volumes lend it an elegance that perfectly complements its lively character.

Mégane Sport Saloon offers a high level of interior comfort, with plenty of room in both front and rear, welcoming seats and a spacious boot. The car boasts innovative features such as the flat double floor, more steeply reclined rear-seat backrest, a fully closed boot and new roller sunblinds set into the rear shelf.

Mégane Sport Saloon aims for the highest level of safety in its category. For maximum occupant safety, it is equipped with the third-generation Renault System for Restraint and Protection (SRP3), which provides identical protection in all seats. It is it also equipped with ABS, Emergency Brake Assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system and ESP.
