Streamlined
to appeal, Clio has been furnished with even more assets to confirm its

The interior focuses on maximum comfort, with a host of stowage facilities
(e.g. under the front passenger seat), a cup-holder, and map pockets in the
front door panels.
On the road, Clio's handling is beyond reproach. Whether it drives through
the Quickshift 5 robotized gearbox or Proactive automatic
transmission, the car is extremely responsive.
Regarding safety, Clio offers the best of Renault's expertise: ABS with EBD,
the Renault System for Restraint and Protection (SRP), reinforced body
structure and programmed deformation zones, plus a new-generation electronic
immobilizer to protect against theft. When slippage occurs on a wet road
surface, ESP combined with ASR traction control automatically corrects the
car's trajectory.

Clio
Initiale stands out from the crowd with an elegant, classic interior
in which nutmeg alcantara leather upholstery blends perfectly with
the dark grey of the bird's-eye maple used on the dashboard. The
exterior is enhanced by body-coloured bumpers, side mouldings, door
handles and mirrors. Clio Initiale is equipped with powerful,
efficient powertrains - the 1.6 16V driving through either a manual
gearbox or Proactive transmission.
Both dynamic and serene, Clio Initiale is equipped for outstanding
ride comfort and driving pleasure. Features include a rain sensor
and light level sensor for automatic windscreen wiper and headlamp
control, customized climate control and a radio and CD player with
